Stephen Jass is a mission-driven entrepreneur dedicated to modernizing complex healthcare and financial systems to better serve families. With a career rooted in senior advocacy and regulatory-heavy markets, Stephen has a proven track record of taking opaque, high-stakes processes and making them transparent, safe, and accessible.
Before founding VitalGuard, Stephen was a pioneering operator in the Life Settlement industry. In 2017, he launched Life Settlement Hub, the first fully digital e-application platform for the sector. By digitizing an historically paper-heavy and confusing marketplace, he provided seniors and their families with unprecedented transparency and security during major financial transitions.
It was during this time that Stephen identified a critical gap in senior care: the need for independence balanced with proactive health oversight. He founded VitalGuard to bridge this gap, merging cutting-edge Edge AI technology with a human-centric monitoring service. Under his leadership, VitalGuard has evolved into a “compliance-first” platform that empowers seniors to age in place while providing families with genuine peace of mind.
A graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a degree in International Business and Trade, Stephen brings a practical, problem-solving approach to the Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) sector. His guiding philosophy—that doing the right thing for the patient is the ultimate driver of business success—serves as the foundation for VitalGuard’s expansion into the national healthcare infrastructure.
Frank Hirsch is a recognized leader and pioneer in the Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) industry, active since the inception of modern RPM reimbursement and adoption in 2019. With more than 19 years of experience founding and leading healthcare support and growth organizations, Frank has been instrumental in shaping compliant, responsible, and transparent practices across patient support, medical services, and RPM operations.
As Founder of TheMedicalPatient.com, Frank has spent nearly two decades empowering patients and supporting medical practices through next-generation engagement, care coordination, and practice growth solutions. His work has expanded patient access and enhanced care experiences—bridging gaps between patients, providers, and care teams.

After working with and advising nearly every major RPM company in the country over the past six years, Frank had grown increasingly frustrated. Most followed the same playbook: high-volume, low-touch models that prioritized billing over genuine patient outcomes. Then he discovered VitalGuard.
For the first time, Frank found a company that shared his unwavering belief that RPM should be built around compassion, transparency, and true family peace of mind — not just technology and reimbursement. He saw in VitalGuard a patient-first mentality, a clean D2C structure designed specifically for seniors and their families, and a leadership team committed to doing things the right way, even when it’s harder. Convinced this was the model the industry had been missing, Frank joined VitalGuard to help scale the very solution he had been searching for since RPM first launched.
Jim Putnam is a high-performance marketing strategist and operations expert with over two decades of experience in the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and customer experience sectors. As the founder of Yeetiq, Jim has spent his career building sophisticated, data-driven systems that bridge the gap between initial customer acquisition and lifelong brand loyalty.
At VitalGuard, Jim oversees the entirety of our patient outreach and engagement infrastructure. His expertise in multi-channel telemarketing, lead validation, and “Decline Salvage” ensures that VitalGuard’s expansion is built on a foundation of high-quality patient interactions and efficient conversion. By merging his background in large-scale call center operations with VitalGuard’s clinical technology, Jim has designed a seamless onboarding process that respects the senior experience while maximizing provider revenue. A graduate of the University of Sioux Falls, Jim is dedicated to the mission of lowering healthcare operational expenses while improving the reach and impact of life-saving remote monitoring services.
Byron Udell is a nationally recognized pioneer in the financial services and insurance sectors, bringing over 40 years of experience in navigating complex regulatory environments to VitalGuard. A graduate of the University of Illinois and the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, Byron’s career is defined by his commitment to transparency and consumer advocacy.
As the founder of one of the nation’s largest independent brokerage firms, Byron revolutionized how individuals access essential financial protection, ultimately placing over 250,000 policies with a total aggregate benefit exceeding $100 billion. His firm’s acquisition in 2021 by a division of Swiss Re—one of the world’s largest financial institutions—stands as a testament to the institutional-grade operations and trust he builds. At VitalGuard, Byron leverages his deep network and mastery of consumer experience to ensure our “Remote Care Management” solutions meet the highest standards of patient value and enterprise scalability.
Nathan Jass is a devoted husband, proud father of six, and the middle of three brothers who has always put faith and family first. Nathan leads with integrity in everything he does — values that now guide VitalGuard’s technology and mission every single day.
Originally trained in music, Nathan transitioned into healthcare IT where he discovered his true calling: building elegant, reliable systems that solve real problems. As a full-stack developer, he has become an exceptional technologist known for his ability to see the simplest, most effective solution in even the most complex challenges. He co-founded Life Settlement Hub with his brother Stephen, where he designed and built the industry’s first fully digital e-application platform. He has since helped launch multiple successful SaaS companies, each one praised for its clean architecture, security, and scalability.
As VitalGuard’s CTO, Nathan ensures every line of code, every patient portal, and every piece of connected technology is best-in-class — secure, intuitive, and built to grow with the company for years to come.
